Later, with great disdain, she addresses her ex-partner, “You could have chosen anyone but you choose her and I hate it!”
‘Prettiest Dress’ contains a post-relationship-based narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Jessie Reyez, Banks, and ABIR. The tear-jerking tune possesses melodic drum-laden production bursting with a gloomy indie-R&B vibration. Furthermore, “Prettiest Dress” is a therapeutic tune for the hopeless romantic who has been defeated by love, and is currently on the sideline watching the person they love fall madly in love with someone else. It’s painful to bear, but only time can heal a wounded heart.
