Vicky Chand – “Got Me” single

“I can’t lie but she’s the one I wanna l be with. Love it when you cumin’ but I hate it when you leaving. Giving you this loving girl, you know you wanna see me. Thumbin’ through these hunnids, girl, you f***ing with a demon. Track star, the way she runnin’ up them dollars up. Prada bag around her arm because I’m proud of her. We go anywhere you wanna – what you thought it was. I f*** with her – she got more money than her followers.” – lyrics

‘Got Me’ tells a charming tale about a young guy who shares a budding relationship with his significant other. Apparently, he genuinely wants to be with his companion forever and she feels the same way about him. Later, he tells her, “Ain’t no trust issues, we don’t listen to them people. Got no competition, baby, they ain’t even seeing you. The way your body moves around should be illegal. I’m sending out a hunnid shots – this sh*t is lethal.”

‘Got Me’ contains a relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and harmonious flow that will surely resonate well with fans of A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Tory Lanez, and The Weeknd. The autotune-laden song possesses melodic beat-driven instrumentation bursting with urban R&B, hip-hop, and alternative-trap elements. Furthermore, “Got Me” premiered on the Spotify Editorial Playlist, Mood Rings, which has over 100,000 followers.

“I can’t lie, when you around, I wanna see you. I been getting money, getting b*tches – she like, ‘Me too.’”

“You don’t need me you want me, a wise woman told me that. To want someone is more powerful than needing someone. Baby, I need you, no, I need me. Baby, I want you. Like it’s more powerful when a woman just wants you. Women and men, we sacrifice ourselves to make sh*t work, and I don’t think it should be that. I think we should choose ourselves first and love ourselves. And we should want to want each other. If we don’t want each other then, sh*t, aye, what are we doing?” – excerpt

In 2021, Vicky Chand grossed over one million streams independently. He received recognition from industry heavyweights such as The Game and DJ Envy. Recently, Vicky was featured on a track with Canadian superstar, Pressa.

“She said that she gon’ hold it down when I’ma leave her, I wanna believe her. She got me ‘cause I want her, not because I need her.”
