The Orchid Room is a UK-based duo consisting of The Libertines’ bassist, John Hassall, and Danish singer, Annekei. Not too long ago, they released a music video for their debut single, entitled, “Be the Light.”
The Orchid Room – “Be the Light” music video
“The song is an encouragement to everyone I could only meet on the phone or computer screen. I want to remind everyone that we can overcome all the distance, emotional turmoil, and problems that have been caused by COVID-19. As long as we can stick it out and support each other.” – John Hassall explained
‘Be the Light’ contains an uplifting narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. The inspirational tune for our time possesses vibrant instrumentation flavored with a warm indie-pop vibration. Furthermore, “Be the Light” serves as a positive reminder of what listeners can expect to hear from The Orchid Room in the near future.
“Just look inside yourself, you’ll find the answers there.”
John Hassall has been living in Denmark for a decade. He met Annekei via a local SGI-Buddhist group in Aarhus – where the track was produced by GRNMO.
