The Mooney Bros (Dee & Den) is a multifaceted duo from Long Island, New York. Not too long ago, they released a melodic rap tune, entitled, “Breezy“, inspired by Chris Brown’s “Run It” single.
The Mooney Bros – “Breezy”
“Blowing bags popping tags on the low. Running up tabs and you know I got the Zoe. Girl you fine, know you mine, loan me time (yeah, yeah). You a dime, what’s ya sign, what you like (yeah, yeah). What’s on your mind? Bought you an AP cause I like spending time. What’s your type? Pick a baddie that we can freak on tonight, all night. What you wanna drive we can pick the Range Rove. We can hit Rodeo, shopping on Melrose. You can cop a bag, pop a couple of tags. I can drop some bands, put diamonds on your hands. Leave your friends ’cause we staying at the Carlton. And I know that it’s safe when I slide in. After round one we can run it back. Call her Stallion she love that Moneybagg.” – lyrics
‘Breezy’ tells a luxurious tale of a young guy who dreams of having so much money that he can afford to buy anything he wants in life. Later, he spends his finances on expensive vehicles and takes desirable women out on extravagant shopping sprees.
‘Breezy’ contains a relatable storyline, harmonious rap vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the contemporary rap tune was produced by MauLo and mastered by Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound.
“The Mooney Bros”
“‘Breezy’ started off as an impromptu project. After freestyling over the beat, MauLo (the producer) asked if I could sing like Chris Brown. I’m like who? Chris Brown? Over this trap beat? He said, ‘Yeah, give it a shot.’ At that moment, I received the creative direction needed to record the song.” – Dee
The Mooney Bros is a name you should remember and an exciting new duo to watch out for in 2020. So far, they’ve been on the Wendy Williams Show, gone viral on numerous occasions, and have millions of views across various social media platforms.
