The Endorphins covers Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas” single

The Endorphins is a producer/singer duo from Stockholm, Sweden. Not too long ago, they covered Donny Hathaway’s classic holiday tune, entitled, “This Christmas”.

The Endorphins – “This Christmas”

“One of us is more fanatical about Christmas than the other, and that’s probably why we felt like creating a Christmas song. But we both put family first and value those moments when we’re all together. That’s what Christmas is all about for us. We chose to do a cover of this song since it’s one of the most tasteful Christmas songs we know—a genre that easily turns cheesy. We’re also huge fans of Donny Hathaway. He was such a great songwriter and artist who doesn’t get praised enough.” – The Endorphins

‘This Christmas’ is The Endorphins’ first-ever holiday tune. Therefore, to them, this Christmas means being grateful for your loved ones and the quality time spent with family members. Also, the song contains a relatable storyline, warm soul vocals, and lush instrumentation flavored with a modern R&B scent.

“Our music is all about inducing endorphins. It’s about love, friendship, clubs, parties, and sex. We wanna bring good vibes, with a touch of future RnB. The vibe of our songs is influenced by the good vibes that were floating around NYC in the ‘70s—that escape from reality—that the disco era was built upon.” – The Endorphins

The Endorphins’ sound is inspired by ‘90s R&B, ‘60s Motown, and the poetry of everyday life and simple words. Also, they create dreamy, euphoric, soulful and funky music based on feel-good vibes and pink cotton candy. Their musical inspirations include H.E.R., Daniel Caesar, Frank Ocean, and Nao.
