Teni (@tenientertainer) is an award-winning singer-songwriter, Afropop star, actress, and social media sensation from Nigeria. The Syx-directed video finds Teni exuding confidence in the empowering visual filmed in Accra, Ghana. Celebrating all things female, we see Teni throw money in the air and celebrate life while singing, “I feel good,” surrounded by a harem of video vixens. In the colorful video, Teni debuts her eyewear collaboration with the popular African fashion brand, Shushi. We see her reveal the first look at Sugar Mummy’s, one of the limited-edition eyewear designs coming from her collection soon.

Produced by the award-winning Blaisebeatz (Wizkid, Davido, Asake, Ty Dolla $ign), “Lanke” is set against a backdrop of ethereal synth melodies and warm bass paired with Afropop percussion with Teni’s fluid, genre-hopping vocals. Sunny harmonies and a gently ascending chord sequence give the track a heart-warming feel as it sails along to its sweet conclusion – a perfect summer vibe.

“Life has ups and downs. Enjoy the moment either up or down. Feel good, regardless of what life throws at you. Always feel good. Omo Lanke is someone who owns a wheelbarrow. You never see a person who owns a wheelbarrow drive straight. Good or bad, we stay pushing, we don’t stop, we keep going. We appreciate the good, we learn from the bad.” – Teni explained

Teni is one of the most unique and exciting voices on the world music scene. Her “Lanke” song follows her roof-raising single, “No Days Off,” which is already approaching three million streams and counting. “Lanke” also follows the success of last year’s “MAITAMA (Going),” a head-turning collaboration with Mayorkun, Ch’cco, and the late Costa Titch. Earlier this year, Teni made her debut on COLORS, she featured on Stormzy’s latest album “This Is What I Mean,” and most recently featured alongside Oxlade to remix Bob Marley & The Wailers’ iconic track “Three Little Birds,” taken from the posthumous album, “Africa Unite,” out August 2023.
