“CROSSFIRE” was co-written and produced by 9AM (Leon Bridges, Noah Cyrus), encapsulating the essence of sunsetto’s artistry. “It dives deep into the idea of lost potential and the choices that shape our paths,” sunsetto explains. “It’s a raw reflection of my own experiences, feeling caught between my dreams and reality.”

Delivering a bold project that blends introspective lyricism with expansive production, “THE SUN, THE MOON AND THE BIG MACHINE” invites listeners on a vivid journey through love, ambition, and the digital age. This album isn’t just a collection of songs; it’s a conceptual exploration of three powerful forces intertwining warm love and energy with big dreams that may seem impossible to attain. “THE SUN, THE MOON AND THE BIG MACHINE” is also a testament to how sunsetto’s finger is on the pulse of a new generation of alternative pop fans.

“I needed to tell a story through the lens of my experiences, navigating the push and pull of chasing dreams while still craving something real,” says sunsetto. “We consume so much daily and often take for granted what’s around us. I wanted to capture those neglected moments.”

Few musical artists can capture the zeitgeist the way sunsetto does. Growing up on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, sunsetto split his time between music and skateboarding – and cultivated a community through both. After trying (and quitting) guitar and piano lessons, he started to rap and make beats in high school. He attended several songwriting camps hosted by GRAMMY® and JUNO Award-winning songwriter Gordie Sampson (Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban) to continue to hone his skills.

In 2020, sunsetto shared a snippet of his single “don’t leave” on Instagram and organically amassed hundreds of thousands of streams. He followed up the initial viral buzz with more tracks, including “good connection” and “downtown.”

While sunsetto’s sound is full-on forward-thinking pop—pulling from an all-over-the-map list of genres such as dance, rap, R&B, and modern country—his lyrical themes dip and twist from the joyful to the profound.
