Rebecca Conner – “Own Melody” music video
“To be heard is to be seen, and to be free is to sing like a bird that’s lost her wings. Like a bird waiting for the light that morning brings. There’s a song in me that longs to ring. There are walls that hold me in.” – lyrics
‘Own Melody’ contains an introspective narrative, ear-pleasing vocalization, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Norah Jones, Emily King, and Rising Appalachia. The likable tune possesses trumpet-laden instrumentation flavored with a jazzy indie-pop vibration. Also, “Own Melody” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear on Rebecca Conner’s debut album, entitled, “Wings,” written and arranged with Leon Cotter.

Rebecca Conner’s love affair with music began around a beach fire in her hometown, Lincoln City. During a subsequent trip to Europe with a guitar, jazz music spoke to her. After returning home, she studied at LCC and eventually finished her music education at the University of Oregon. Later, she moved to Portland to tell her story and bring her aesthetic to life.
