Purple Disco Machine (Tino Piontek) is a world-renowned German DJ, producer, and remixer. Sophie (of Sophie and the Giants) is a talented singer from Sheffield, England. Not too long ago, they released a video for their “Hypnotized (Acoustic)” single, via Positiva Records.

The Louis Ellison-directed video filmed Sophie at Omeara in London. Purple Disco Machine was filmed in Berlin at the Delft Theatre. The video carries an incredible live performance that brings the lyrics to life for an emotional three-minute watch.
Winning the hearts of fans the world over, the original version of “Hypnotized” is continuing to build momentum. So far, the song has accumulated over 110 million streams. Also, it has reached a peak of #9 on the Global Shazam Chart and #3 on the European airplay charts. The success follows a standout performance on Italy’s famous Power Hits Summer broadcast live from the Verona arena.

The name “Purple Disco Machine” pays homage to the ‘80s funk hero, Prince, and the uplifting dance beat of Gloria Estefan’s “Miami Sound Machine.” Purple Disco Machine is “certified as one of the most prolific electronic artists of our generation.” So far, the Dresden-born producer has accumulated over 250 million streams online. Also, he has a recent run of remixes for A-list stars including Dua Lipa, Mark Ronson, Robert Surace, Foals, and Sir Elton John to name a few.
Sophie and the Giants
Sophie and the Giants formed at music college in the spring of 2017. The band members include Sophie Scott (vocals, guitar), Chris Hill (drums), Antonia Pooles (bass), and Toby Holmes (guitar). In their short existence, they have racked up over 10 million streams from their debut EP, entitled, “Adolescence.” Standalone singles include “The Light,” “Break the Silence,” and “Runaway.” In 2019, Giants supported Tom Grennan and Barns Courtney. Also, they played a multitude of festivals including Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Glastonbury, and Reading festival. As well as completing their biggest UK headline tour to date in October.
