MALU (Marie-Louise Pierini Lüders) is an independent Danish-Corsican singer-songwriter based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Not too long ago, she released a dazzling electro-R&B single, titled, “Comfort Zone,” produced by Joachim Ersgaard and Jakob Groth.

“Life is unpredictable. It’s full of surprises, people, experiences, and moments that you never saw coming. The uncertainty about what’s to come can be frightening or even make you anxious and to some it helps to know what tomorrow or next week brings or even just what is going to happen in the movie you’re watching on Netflix. I’ve lived like that for years – safe and in control – but looking back, I never gave myself a chance to grow or develop, always living in my comfort zone.” – MALU explained
Like most of us, MALU has never been a big fan of change. However, it got to a point where the Danish-Corsican singer realized that a life of predictability would be the end of her – and so, MALU’s relationship of more than seven years ended, and she dropped her full-time studies to pursue and be her true self.
‘Comfort Zone’ contains ear-pleasing vocals, tuneful melodies, and a relatable narrative that will resonate well with anyone who desires to do something more daring than what they are accustomed to doing. The likable, nostalgic tune possesses thudding drums and groovy bass-laden instrumentation flavored with electro-R&B, neo-soul, and dance-pop elements. Furthermore, “Comfort Zone” is the first new single by MALU, who debuted in 2021 with the self-released single, “Polish.”
“Comfort zone will kill me.”
“Since I was a little girl, even the most insignificant bumps on the road have felt like standing at a crossroads. I’ve always wanted life to follow this straight path, when actually it’s all the detours, twists, and turns that make it fun and spontaneous. I bloom through music; it gives me the strength to sing my way out of my identity crisis and develop as a singer but also as a human being. ‘Comfort Zone’ tells my story – but I know it reflects a story of many.” – MALU stated
When MALU was five years old, two movers coincidentally came by her childhood home with a piano they were meant to get rid of. Eventually, the little girl convinced the movers (and her parents) that she was meant to inherit the beautiful instrument. From then, MALU fell in love with music, learned classical piano, and grew up to sing in jazz and soul orchestras.
As a solo artist, MALU has become quite a phenomenon on the Copenhagen live scene – selling out every show she plays. Later this year, she will headline the legendary Vesterbro venue, VEGA. The time is extremely ripe to step out of your “Comfort Zone” with MALU.

“This one is for all the control freaks and creatures of habit – who (like me) need the courage to jump into the unknown and just do that thing. That is really scary but so worth it in the end!” – MALU stated
