Lund unveils a lovely animated music video for his “Red Tide” single

Lund is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Southern California. Not too long ago, he released a lovely animated music video for his “Red Tide” single, directed by Rafatoon.

Lund – “Red Tide” music video

“Animation has always been something I hold close to my heart. I think it’s the nostalgic feeling it brings me of watching cartoons as a kid. I recently worked with Rafatoon and his team to utilize one of my favorite styles of animation and put together the ‘Red Tide’ music video. Where we see two skeletons start a cute relationship. I’m so stoked to show you guys.” – Lund stated

The clip opens with Lund sitting on the couch with his headphones on ready to drift off. Then it slips into an animated fantasy where Day of the Dead-inspired skeleton lovers embarks on a thrilling romantic adventure. From a jacuzzi-style wine glass to a whirl on a vinyl record, the couple even faces down a dragon before cruising off into the sunset. This otherworldly love story perfectly complements the homegrown lo-fi ballad.

‘Red Tide’ contains a relationship-based narrative, ear-welcoming vocals, and tuneful melodies that are sure to pull on your heartstring. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation flavored with an alternative R&B aroma.

Lund – “Downhill” video

“One of my favorite quotes is ‘Love is giving someone the power to destroy you but trusting them not to’ by E. Lockhart. I wrote ‘Downhill’ from the perspective of someone in a one-sided relationship and the thoughts and feelings they go thru trying to keep it from falling apart.”– Lund stated

Lund first started creating music to escape his home life. He grew up with his paternal grandparents while his mother struggled with drugs and his father faced severe mental health issues. During this time, he listened to everything from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, and Coldplay to N.W.A. and Gravediggaz. Now, Lund uses his music as a way to help others looking for an outlet to everyday life. Not too long ago, his “Broken” single accumulated nearly 130 million global streams, cementing Lund as a much mused-about musical force. He broke onto the scene when video game streamer Clicky Crisp used his song “Broken” in his CounterStrike highlight video. The video was picked up by gamers and resonated with music fans across the globe.

Furthermore, “Red Tide” serves as a wonderful presentation to what listeners can expect to hear on Lund’s debut EP, entitled, “Project of a Person.”

“Project of a Person” EP

“Perfection doesn’t exist, we are all projects. Puzzles with missing pieces we are forever searching for. Not because we aren’t capable of being whole with who we are but because we can always be a better version of ourselves. I have put so much of me into this body of work and I’m beyond ready to share it with you.” – Lund stated

The EP highlights Lund’s magnetic melodies, entrancing sonic alchemy, and nuanced lyricism. Also, it showcases the scope of his talents.
