“I’ll pick you up, just don’t be late. You drop the top, candy-coated rain. Don’t talk about it, we’ll run away. Drinking your wine, feel it in my veins. Living good in the summer, sun shining above you. Hair blow in the wind, come a little bit closer. I’ll just get to know you if you let me in. Wanna be your lover, babe, summer day, magazine cover page. If that’s ok, ok you got it good. Hollywood, cabaret, through the haze and that’s the way you got me falling in love.” – lyrics

‘Run Away’ tells an intriguing tale about a young guy who is driving a vintage, cherry mustang trying to escape the heat. Apparently, he and his significant other are living dangerously, and he wants to run away with her to a faraway land. Also, he wants them to live in their fantasy world forever, meaning, he never wants to leave her side. Later, he tells his companion, “Your eyes tell me the truth, yeah, they don’t lie. I’d rather be here with you, far away from reality.”

“Why would I want to leave, I’d rather be here with you.”

“Stevedreez and Satica sing two sides of a story about getting away on the road and escaping reality with each respective significant other.” – Luc de la Croixx explained

‘Run Away’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Silk Sonic. The radio-friendly tune possesses groovy, retro-inspired instrumentation bursting with sunshiny disco-pop flavors and electro-dance elements. Furthermore, “Run Away” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from Luc de la Croixx, Satica, and Stevedreez in the near future as they continue to release new and exciting music.
