“Loving you is my biggest distraction,” Lindsay Lucas sings to her significant other. “[I’m living in a fantasy], ain’t no place I rather be,” she tells her lover. What she wants to do is love her companion 24-7 or more if she can.

Inspired by dane.zone’s “Felt Piano” instrument, “Twentyfourseven” has lush instrumentation of ornamented piano, warm bass, romantic strings, majestic horns, dreamy electric guitar, and no drums. Lucas paints this canvas with soft yet rhythmic sing-rapping creating an intimate experience.

“Twentyfourseven” is also the third single from Lindsay Lucas’ newest project, and it will surely resonate well with supporters of artists such as H.E.R., Kehlani, or even Amber Mark.

“Listen to the melody, it’s stuck in my head. It goes on and on and on.”

Lindsay Lucas is the voice and pen behind iconic samples used by acclaimed hip-hop artists such as French Montana, Russ, JAY ELECTRONICA, A$AP Twelvyy, EST Gee, Roc Marciano, and many more. Lucas shares original music that seamlessly blends old and new into a unique sonic fusion.

Known for her smooth but smoky vocals and rich lyricism, Lucas’ soulful sound is rooted in R&B and infused with elements of hip-hop, reggae, and almost everything else in between. Including ethereal dynamics of live vocal production, retro rhythms, and analog sound design, Lucas creates an overall multidimensional celebration of all things nostalgic and new wave.

To date, Lucas has toured with music collectives Lettuce, Soulive, and The Nigel Hall Band as a background vocalist, demoed vocals for Jill Scott, and is the voice of New York in multiple NYCGO campaigns. She continues to write and produce for artists with her partner, dane.zone, via her label and production company, Used People.
