Lemonade Baby (@itslemonadebaby), an artist hailing from Brisbane, Australia, has recently teamed up with Ronnie Sinclair, known as Alistair Seawright from Safety Club, to release a refreshing alternative-pop/rock single titled “Seeing Double.” This collaboration was released under Mammal Sounds Records and promises an energetic blend of creative prowess.
Lemonade Baby & Ronnie Sinclair – “Seeing Double”
“Seeing Double” delves into the frustration of trying to communicate and find common ground but constantly missing it. According to Ronnie Sinclair, the track represents those moments when you feel close yet inexplicably distant. “It’s really a breakdown of communication when you’re trying to find common ground but you’re just passing by each other again and again,” Ronnie Sinclair stated. “And you feel like you’re going insane at a point. The frustration of being so close but, yet so far.”
“Seeing Double” also strikes a chord with the ongoing struggles of human interactions, expressed through an upbeat and engaging melody. The song is a testament to organic creativity and spontaneity. “I had invited Alistair into the studio to work on some tracks. At that point in time, my dad gave me a guitar pedal that he’d made for his pedal brand,” Lemonade Baby stated. “Al tweaked the settings on the pedal and wrote that intro guitar riff. After that, I played the drums, and he played the bassline. Next was recording vocals, Al took the mic and wrote his chorus and verses, and I wrote my verse, it all flowed out very quickly. We had finished the song in 2 hours. Al left it with me to tweak and mix the record.”
Along with the release of “Seeing Double,” there’s exciting news of a mixtape or album that Lemonade Baby plans to release later this year. Fans of Empire of the Sun, Phoenix, and wes mills will find this project particularly appealing, showcasing a delightful mix of alternative-pop and rock influences. Stay tuned for more vibrant and infectious tunes from this intriguing artist!
