Lemonade Baby (@itslemonadebaby) is an artist from Brisbane, Australia. Not too long ago, he released a jazzy neo-soul single, “Airbnb,” via Mammal Sounds Records.

“Airbnb is one of few songs that came together by accident,” Lemonade Baby stated. “I was in a writing session with my friend Breanna Fielding, and we were talking about life and what we had done the past week. She mentions that when she’s too tired from performing she’ll book an Airbnb, so she doesn’t have to drive home. It also was a great excuse to not have to see anyone, she could just decompress.
We start jamming chords and start singing along. In amazement, I said to her, ‘Your melody sounds ‘complicated/happy but a little bit sad in a weird way.’ She then replies saying that’s a perfect line, and somehow worked that into the lyrics. It was so easy to write, we had the song finished in a few hours. I guess the lyrics focus on needing a safe space to breathe and be at peace, all thanks to an Airbnb. I’d always wanted to make a jazz R&B/neo-soul record, and I’m super excited to include this on my next album.”
“Airbnb” will be featured in Lemonade Baby’s upcoming mixtape/album, which also includes his previously released single, “Seeing Double,” which was a collaborative release with Ronnie Sinclair (aka Alistair Seawright from Safety Club).

Lemonade Baby creates music reminiscent of Phoenix, Benee, and Still Woozy. Starting his career as an independent artist in 2020, Lemonade has grown rapidly. In 2021, he signed with record label Mammals Sounds (Golden Vessel, Benji Lewis, Daste) and his first single with Mammal Sounds “Is It Too Late” debuted at #81 on iTunes Top 200 France Alternative Chart.
Lemonade Baby has received airplay on Triple J Radio and NPR Radio and was featured as the front cover artist of Spotify’s Fresh Finds: AU & NZ. He also landed other editorial placements on Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Pop, Fresh Finds: AU & NZ, Indie Arrivals, Fuzzy, The Local List, and H&M Music.
