LEEPA releases an appealing music video for her new heartfelt single, entitled, “future”

LEEPA is a rising singer-songwriter from Berlin, Germany. Not too long ago, she released an appealing music video for her new heartfelt single, entitled, “future.”

LEEPA – “future” music video

“I could write a billion words about how I feel, but I feel like it would make it worse. And for some reason I never heal, I’m gonna have to take this pain into the hearse. They say do this and do that and you should feel much better. But I won’t ‘cause there’s things in my head that I don’t understand and can’t control.” – lyrics

‘future’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who can barely see her face in the mirror. Apparently, she feels small and oftentimes wonders if she’s gonna die young. Later, she admits, “I’m not who I was a couple of years ago. And I really hope I finally learned that just ‘cause something looks beautiful it doesn’t mean that it’s not gonna burn.”

‘future’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Tate McRae, Olivia Rodrigo, and Madison Beer. The emotionally-driven tune possesses piano and guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with contemporary and alternative-pop elements. Furthermore, “future” is the focus single of LEEPA’s latest EP, entitled, “brain freeze,” which features the standout single, “blood.”

“Where is my future, has anybody seen her?”

“We all feel the same for different reasons. So, in this case: ‘future’ is the anthem of a generation lost, our generation lost, as it explains to us itself: We look back on two years full of unexpected upheavals that we could never have expected three years ago. Suddenly, it’s summer, all possibilities are open to us again. But many of us wonder how we can and should deal with the new freedom – and especially with a future that is full of uncertainty.” – LEEPA explained

There’s really not much to be said about LEEPA, because if you don’t know her already, you’ve definitely been missing out. With a total of over six million streams worldwide, she isn’t just potentially one of the most promising talents the pop world has to offer at the moment, she is also the epitome of fashion, feminism, and merciless realness. Her authenticity is hard to compress into a press release, not to mention her poignant, soulful voice with which she sings in English as if it were her mother tongue.
