Katie Ferrara is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, she released an alternative-pop tune, entitled, “Weightless”.

‘Weightless’ contains a relatable storyline and ear-welcoming vocals. Also, the song possesses guitar-driven instrumentation flavored with a nostalgic vibration.

“The song was written with my friend June Caravel while I was on a busking tour in Europe a couple of years ago. We are both street performers living similar lives in different parts of the world.” – Katie Ferrara
Katie Ferrara has often been compared to artists such as Aimee Mann, Natalie Merchant, and Norah Jones. She began her musical career by singing on the streets in Burbank, California.
In 2015, her musical talents were recognized during the Feeling the Street competition.
The online show, sponsored by Toyota, sent Ferrara and 5 other street performers to New Zealand to perform at the annual Queenstown winter festival for almost 10,000 attendees.

Since then, Ferrara has traveled to several different countries to play at international street festivals including Scotland, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland.
Also, she has published a book about her experiences as a street musician, entitled, “Stories from the Street”.
You can find her performing regularly nowadays at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood as well as venues like the Hotel Cafe.

Katie is currently recording her first full-length album, entitled, “Break Free”, with singer-songwriter and producer Patrick Joseph.
This album is a coming of age record about growing up, letting go of the love that has been unhealthy and being the best person you can be.
