Justin Kawika Young – “Back to the Blue” single

“‘Back to the Blue’ is an existential metaphor that musically calls back to my island roots. Lyrically, it speaks of each of our lives as rain falling over the ocean. First, (‘summoned by the closest star’) evaporation gathers us up until we’re born as individual drops of rain, each making our way to join the collective whole once again, the big blue ocean.” – Justin Kawika Young explained

‘Back to the Blue’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Steph Devine, Keahiwai, and Ian Dvd. The island-friendly tune possesses enchanting horns and acoustic guitar-laden instrumentation bursting with indie-pop flavors and breezy roots reggae elements. Furthermore, “Back to the Blue” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from Justin Kawika Young in the near future as he continues to release new and exciting music.
