The atmospheric and soulful “Someday” is about moving on. In his own words, Joshua Baraka explains, “It’s about accepting that maybe you’ll not get the things you thought you’d get with certain people. It can be opportunities you’ve lost, and just accepting that it happened, and it’s time to move on, and maybe another time in the future, someday, you’ll get something like that again. KiDi complimented it so well and took it to another level. So, shout out to KiDi!”

“Someday” collaborator KiDi, Ghana’s “Golden Boy,” is a powerhouse in Afrobeats and Highlife. Known for global hits like “Touch It” (67M streams), his fluid vocal talent and infectious melodies have earned him various accolades, including VGMA Artist of the Year. With chart-topping albums and collaborations, KiDi continues to redefine African music, helping to spread its genres around global scenes.

“Someday” is featured on Joshua Baraka’s highly anticipated EP “Recess,” a lead-up to a full album later down the line. Made up of seven tracks, spanning R&B, Afropop, and more, the EP also features Kenyan singer Bensoul (400k+ monthly listeners) and is produced by the highly acclaimed P Priime, who’s known for his work with Wizkid, Burna Boy, Fireboy DML, and many more.
