Josh Fudge is an up-and-coming 18-year-old singer-songwriter and instrumentalist from Oklahoma City. Not too long ago, he released a lovely indie-pop tune, entitled, “Second Date”.
Josh Fudge – “Second Date” single
“Even when it’s odd between us, finding myself lost in yesterday. Do you remember how it used to be? Hey, wait a minute, whenever you dream am I in it? Never feels as good as the beginning. Our second date this week, you sit and tell me all about your dreams and the shows you like to watch. And I wish I could care about what you say (What do I say to you, baby).” – lyrics
‘Second Date’ contains a relatable narrative, soft vocals, and rich harmonies. Also, the warm indie-pop tune possesses vibey instrumentation flavored with fuzzy synths and vintage tones reminiscent of Mac DeMarco, Jakob Ogawa, and Clairo. Furthermore, “Second Date” is a wistful song about getting bored in a relationship and growing to miss how things used to be.
“I notice your roses wilting in the vase I gave you on our first date.”
