“I’m gonna be honest, I almost didn’t share this song. It’s been a while since this song was written and every time I listen or even play it, I immediately go back to that super broken and frustrated place I was in. ‘All You Want’ is a song I wrote when I found myself in a toxic relationship where I had to constantly fight for attention, time, and love. Through this time, I wrote the pre-chorus and chorus to ‘All You Want’. I remember not sleeping that night and just lying in my bed doing anything and everything to fall asleep. Feeling like an idiot for loving someone so much that I couldn’t even sleep. I finally took a moment and journaled how I was feeling and that was enough release for me to get some sleep. This was the beginning stages of ‘All You Want’.” – Jerome Obholz
‘All You Want’ contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and rich harmonies. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation scented with an emo-pop aroma.
“I remember feeling super petty writing this song. I grew up never needing anyone’s love, time, or attention. And I wanted this to be the case so badly in this situation. I couldn’t let go of the facts though. There came a point where this person was more interested in giving more support, love, and time to another person. I was stupid in love and was in a war within myself. I knew deep down the relationship wasn’t gonna work but the fighter in me was open to seeing it through. Months passed and the crazier I was becoming, long story short, I finished writing this song in the last month of this relationship and it became one I never wanted to play or hear again.” – Jerome Obholz

“I’m now almost a year removed from writing this song. And as I sent my good friend, Brenden Koon (producer), some song demos I wanted to work on couldn’t help but put this one in the mix. I felt like an idiot bringing this song back, considering I had newer songs I was excited about. But as I sat back and reflected on this song I realized that this song was no longer for me. I realized that as I go out and play live I find this song connecting with people. With that I decided to share it because it can defiantly relate with people who are maybe in this situation.” – Jerome Obholz
Jerome Obholz is no stranger to creating heart-throbbing yet rememberable tunes. His music fits somewhere in the same sonic ballpark with songs created by Lauv, Khalid, and Post Malone.
Furthermore, Obholz is fascinated with being able to capture his emotions and turning them into songs that listeners can connect to. Currently, he is in the studio finishing up singles and hopes to share more of them in 2020.

“Brenden Koon and I spent three months working on ‘All You Want’. Lots of phone calls, voice memos, and remixes took place. Once the track was finished and I swung through Brenden’s studio for a couple of days after a show and finalized the writing, vocals, and mix. As I sit here listening to it, I am very excited to share this song. The message I wanna share through this is that it’s not petty to want love from someone you’re in a committed relationship with. It’s totally natural to have these emotions. It takes a lot to walk away from this when you’re in the midst of it.” – Jerome Obholz
