“Lock, lock with no key, bless you with this. Baby, leave the lights on, you know that’s my song. Make me tell you this, try nuh play with it. You and you alone, from you hit it never miss. Something special, you better know this, pressure, pressure when the waistline rolling. Give me the grind, I work hard fi your love. Switchin’ it up, give you the soft or the rough. Only thing better than money, baby, don’t it make you feel lucky?” – lyrics
‘Fling It Back’ tells a sensual tale about a woman who wants to spend some quality time with her significant other. Apparently, it’s been a while since they’ve made love to each other. So, she feels it is time for them to get romantic. With a soft voice, she tells her companion, “Baby, I know just how you like it like that. You know I love it when you do me like that. This goody-good, you deserve it.”
‘Fling It Back’ contains a relatable narrative, head-nodding hooks, and ear-tasty vocals that will resonate well with fans of island-inspired music. The likable tune possesses bouncy grooves and rhythmic drum-laden instrumentation flavored with contemporary reggae and modern dancehall elements. Furthermore, “Fling It Back” is featured on Jada Kingdom’s new four-track EP, entitled, “New Motion,” which features the standout single, “Dickmatized.”
Jada Kingdom – “New Motion” EP
“My new EP, ‘New Motion,’ reveals raw, uncut feelings. It expresses my desire to intentionally move forward always regardless of the trials and tribulations I’ve faced. It’s about never forgetting to be true to myself while also having fun and creating a safe space for people who are going through similar situations.” – Jada Kingdom explained
Jada’s storytelling takes center stage on the EP. For as bright as the island-inflected production may be, her lyrics prove just as bold. She opens up without fear about trauma, triumphs, love, femininity, and everything on her mind in a subtle fashion. As such, she asserts herself as a powerhouse with a microphone and a pen.
