There are songs about my first true love and all the trials that come along with learning to love. A lot of feelings that I simply couldn’t hold inside any longer and of course some cheeky songs that were super fun to write. Louise Burns and I co-wrote half of this album together and the other half was co-written with La+ch, which means they were all written and recorded in Canada, which is pretty cool. ‘dimr’ comes on the heels of Gwyn’s “♡ x +” EP collaboration with Toronto producer, La+ch. Maintaining Gwyn’s infectious punk attitude while La+ch turned up the voltage on the electronic, danceable atmosphere, the pairing created an irresistible collection that can easily be taken from the bedroom to the dance floor. The collection was an evolution from her debut EP, “At First Blush,” a more pop-infused, vibrant expression of Gwyn’s own coming of age story, which included her debut single, “never have to see u again.”
