Grace Weber is an LA-based GRAMMY®-winning singer-songwriter and producer from Milwaukee. Not too long ago, she released an appealing music video for her “Thru the Fire” single featuring Chance The Rapper.
Grace Weber – “Thru the Fire” music video
“‘Thru the Fire’ is about resilience. It’s about using the fire within you to make it through anything. No matter how hard the world or life is bearing down on you. Also, it’s about owning your truth and never giving up on what you believe in.” – Grace Weber explained
Presented in partnership with Baccarat and YoungArts, the music video finds Grace Weber sharing her healing message of unwavering resilience via her charismatic vocals. The video also shines a light on five rising young artists – modern dancer (Kelsey Lewis), ballerina (Lindy Mesmer), painter (Henry Rojas), photographer (Amal Flower Kay), and poet (Asia Rogers from Chance’s non-profit SocialWorks). Furthermore, the video highlights their resilient testament and inspires a celebration of the hope and healing that the arts can provide.
Filmed at NYC’s MoMA PS1 and Baccarat Hotel New York, Weber uses her platform to spotlight dazzling performances from the next generation of artists who are a part of the three non-profits: YoungArts, SocialWorks, and Grace Weber’s Music Lab. Also, the video showcases a full-circle moment for Weber, who became a Presidential Scholar for the Arts through her receipt of the Silver Award in Popular Voice from YoungArts in 2006.

“I was blessed to be chosen as a YoungArts winner in 2006. It not only launched my career as a young singer, but it also gave me the confidence to step into my artistry with a fearlessness that can only come from being noticed and celebrated for who you authentically are. YoungArts did that for me.” — Grace Weber shared her experience with YoungArts
“YoungArts is grateful to Grace for using her voice and platform to highlight artists in her community and network. Many of whom are her fellow YoungArts award winners. ‘Thru The Fire’ exemplifies that extraordinary things can happen when artists support artists. We are proud to provide opportunities to these remarkable artists throughout their careers and congratulate Grace on the release of her new music video.” — stated Lauren Snelling, Senior Director of Alumni Programming at YoungArts
“A great piece surrounding perseverance and resilience. Success, for many, first started as a belief in self. We thank Grace Weber for extending the opportunity for SocialWorks’ students to be involved. Not only did they see, for the first time, the making of a music video, but that a larger community of creatives are pushing them through their own fires.” — stated Justin Cunningham, Executive Director at SocialWorks (the non-profit created by Chance The Rapper)

“Baccarat encourages and inspires dreams. Working with Grace and her team only proves that dreams do come true through vision, talent, and hard work. The song and video, ‘Thru The Fire,’ demonstrates a resilience you must have for your craft, life, family, and love. In comparison, Baccarat’s master craftsmen designed the first-ever crystal album for Grace that traveled ‘Thru the Fire’ which symbolizes Baccarat’s vision and standard of excellence. Inspiring dreams, and aspiring to be the best person you can be is why Baccarat believes we all can make it Thru the Fire.” — stated Ward Simmons, Baccarat Vice President of Marketing
“Baccarat Hotel New York is thrilled to provide a sparkling backdrop for the inspirational ‘Thru The Fire’ music video. Its message and theme are well aligned with our team of service artisans who work tirelessly to provide a perfectly crafted stay for all our guests. We too celebrate the passion, commitment, and resilience of the countless talented young artists for their joie de vivre and the many ways they enrich our lives.” — stated Pradeep Raman, Baccarat Hotel General Manager

“When Chance put his verse on this, everything came together and it all honestly felt magical. Also, giving him the vocals and track for All We Got – and then him laying down a verse on Thru the Fire – was a full-circle moment for sure. My favorite line of his verse is, I don’t know defeat. I went through some wild things the past couple of years. And his verse helped pull me out of a low place. His verse became my pump-up, comeback, Rocky-running-up-the-steps moment. I’m super grateful to Chance for helping me out of a low place with his verse, I hope the song can do that for people.” – Grace Weber stated
This isn’t the first time that Grace Weber and Chance The Rapper have struck creative gold. In 2016, Weber penned the opening track to Chance’s groundbreaking mixtape, entitled, Coloring Book. Eventually, the project went on to win Best Rap Album at the 2017 GRAMMY® Awards.
