GALE (@gale) is a powerhouse singer-songwriter and musician from Puerto Rico. Not too long ago, she scored the coveted Latin GRAMMY nomination for “Best New Artist,” which celebrates the release of her debut album as an artist, “Lo Que No Te Dije.”
GALE – “Lo Que No Te Dije” album
“It was all part of what happened to me: this is what I have to say.” – GALE stated
The 13-song project tracks the multi-color shades of GALE’s journey from f***-you feminist punk anthems, vulnerable heartbreak ballads, and even dream-pop odes to self-pleasure.
“Lo Que No Te Dije” is a delicious combination of pop and Eurodance mixed with punk and grunge influences and an urban Pop Latino vibration.
GALE – “Problemas” music video
GALE’s impressive range and capability are displayed throughout “Lo Que No Te Dije.” She takes listeners to the dancefloor with electro-beats and Eurodance energy on her latest “Nuestra Canción” single, which ranks #7 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart. Conversely, the Y2K-grunge track “Problemas,” which rocketed to the Top 15, charts the toxicity of pure physical attraction, and “Inmadura” is a rock’n’roll-inspired, liberating anthem.
GALE – “D Pic” (Official Video)
GALE opens up without restraint with “D-Pic,” a triumphant reminder that GALE isn’t afraid to venture into uncharted lyrical territory. “No quiero una foto de tu—” (I don’t want a picture of your —) she sings on the chorus, capturing the defiant spirit of an 8M march.
“Lo Que No Te Dije”
As a songwriter, GALE also landed a second nomination for “El Merengue” (Marshmello, Manuel Turizo) in the category of “Best Tropical Song.” This year’s nominations bring GALE to a career total of 3 nominations – two as a songwriter and one as a solo artist.
GALE
GALE commands every stage she’s on, as she spent her summer performing at festivals and supporting Juanes on his headline tour in Spain. Later, she performed the national anthem at the F1 Miami Grand Prix and will participate in Billboard Latin Week this October in Miami.
