Church of Galantis: Live Virtual Concert

“We’re so excited to be able to share the ‘Church of Galantis’ show with all of our Seafoxnation around the world. We had this idea to bring ‘Church’ into a virtual realm, where everyone could come together as one and share this awesome experience no matter where you live. This virtual tour stop with Wave will be a special one.” – stated Galantis

Galantis will use Wave’s proprietary technology to transform into custom avatars in real-time and perform an exhilarating, live 30-minute set. Fans from around the world can join via Galantis’ YouTube channel as Seafoxes, embodying the beloved Galantis mascot for the show.

The show will be a magical, one-of-a-kind live experience, incorporating fantastical elements and surprises. Also, it marks several monumental moments for Wave. Furthermore, the show will be the first to capture two live performers with motion capture technology, translating Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw’s dynamic movements and artistry into a virtual world.

Not too long ago, Galantis released their third studio album, entitled, “Church”, on February 7 via Atlantic/Big Beat Records. The Grammy-nominated duo’s first new album in three years. Also, the project follows on the heels of their sophomore album, “The Aviary”, which had a Top 10 debut in 23 countries. Plus, it spawned the platinum-certified single, “No Money”, which hit the Top 5 on the UK Singles Chart.

“It’s important for us to have meaning behind our music. Our album ‘Church’ doesn’t necessarily refer to a building or a specific religion. But instead to people banded together in similar belief for a better humanity. Whether it’s advocating peace, change, or just lifting each other up. That’s our ‘Faith’ and ‘Church’.” – stated Galantis

Preceding the release was the explosive single, “Faith”, featuring country music legend Dolly Parton and Dutch singer-songwriter Mr Probz. “Faith” received its first play on BBC Radio 1, the world’s biggest radio show for dance music. Also, it received syndication across seven countries to an audience of over 18 million listeners.
