Gabbie Santana is a 16-year-old singer-singer from New York. Not too long ago, she released a heartfelt debut single, entitled, “The River”.
Gabbie Santana – “The River” single
“I don’t know if I should walk away or should I stay a while to sit in pain. I don’t know if I should be here to say it’s a creepy world for me today. Is it fine to agree with the ones who go away? Hear me ‘cause I think it would be fine if I end it all today.” – lyrics
Gabbie Santana penned “The River” while struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts.
“Kill me, drown me in the river. Kill me if you want to ‘cause I don’t even care,” she sings in pain while wearing her heart on her sleeve.
Later, she admits that she can’t believe that she lived this long and worries if it’s okay to write such a dark tune.

‘The River’ serves as her biggest moment yet, and a wonderful introduction to what we can expect to hear from the growing songstress.
Currently, she is working with the “Prescription Songs” songwriter (Dave Thomas Junior) on an upcoming EP, set to be released in Fall 2019.
‘The River’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and well-placed melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses luxurious instrumentation scented with an emo-pop aroma.
