Get Ready to Hear FAVE’s Bold and Infectious Single “No Games”

Nigerian singer-songwriter FAVE (@faveszn), a disruptive voice on the music scene, recently dropped her latest single, “No Games,” produced by Chxf Barry plus additional production by Niphkeys.

FAVE – “No Games” (Official Lyric Video)

“No Games” was written during a creative retreat in Uganda, and with its bold lyrics and infectious hooks, the song makes one thing clear: FAVE isn’t here to play. “No Games” is a boastful reminder and a statement of self-worth, with standout lines like: “Can’t you see I’m fire, I’m goated, I’m all that you need.”

The lyric video presents FAVE in an entirely new light, showcasing her confidently taking center stage and commanding attention. It’s been a whirlwind year for the rising star as she skillfully juggles the demands of finishing her Law degree while releasing standout singles “Belong To You” and “Controlla” in quick succession.

FAVE’s recent releases explore the complexities of toxic love, drawing deeply from her own experiences and those around her. Through her music, she delves into relationships’ emotional highs and lows, creating raw and relatable songs that resonate with her growing fanbase.

FAVE derived from her real name, GodsFavour. Her minute-long Twitter videos took the music community in her homeland by storm during the early days of lockdown, marking the birth of a star. As the middle child of three siblings, she has spent the past two decades living in Eastern and South-Western Nigeria, beginning her musical journey at six.

Before her internet fame in 2020, FAVE was studying and has just completed pursuing a degree in Law. As her songs gained popularity, attending school became increasingly challenging, prompting FAVE to adopt various disguises to blend in.

Musically, FAVE is a versatile artist who has dabbled in Dancehall, Afropop, Afrobeats, Dance, and R&B, considering herself a “no genre” girl. Her poetic lyrics often stem from an opening line, with the rest of the story unfolding naturally. She skillfully conveys vulnerability and courage in her music, blending a range of emotions into high-tempo drum progressions.

In 2022, just months after her chart-topping debut hit “Baby Riddim,” taken from her debut EP, FAVE won the “Rookie of the Year” award at the Headies. She also received multiple nominations for “Best New Artist” and “Most Promising Artist” at the Afrima Awards and Soundcity Music Awards, solidifying her status as a rising star in the music industry.

FAVE refuses to tread familiar paths in her creative journey. Youthful and endlessly curious, she’s constantly evolving, absorbing, and honing her craft. She challenges you not to underestimate her potential.

Despite being in the early stages of her career, she’s already garnered support from influential media platforms like COLORS, Wonderland, and Okay Africa, with collaborations with the likes of Davido, Masicka, Olamide, Tay Iwar, Simi under her belt. With a fire in her heart and a determination to innovate, she’s poised to captivate the industry in the blink of an eye. A project from the artist is on the horizon.
