“This song came to me in a very unexpected way, as with most things in life. An idea about making an interpolation of Alphaville’s ‘80s hit song, ‘Big In Japan,’ came to life by a publisher I’ve worked with in the past. I was so lucky to write this song with three incredibly talented songwriters and Alphaville absolutely loved it! So with their blessing, we finished and recorded it. We used the chorus melody from ‘Big In Japan,’ but all the lyrics are new as well as all brand new melodies for the intro, verses, pre, and outro.” – Emmelie de Forest explained
