DYLI releases a heartfelt R&B tune, entitled, “LOE”

DYLI is a singer-songwriter from Stockton, California. Not too long ago, she released a heartfelt R&B tune, entitled, “LOE,” which stands for Loyalty Over Everything.

DYLI – “LOE” single

“I believe loyalty is the core that our emotions branch off of. This song, ‘LOE,’ was a way for me to put that in writing. Whether you’re a guy, girl, friend, family member, or significant other, it is important that we all understand that we are worth much more than support, only when it’s beneficial. Or wondering why you up at 3 AM is okay but dinner at 6 isn’t. Or the feeling that you’re the only one putting in effort because you don’t want someone to feel the way they make you feel. It sucks! This song, ‘LOE,’ is all of that for me. It was every emotion from sadness, to anger, to hatred (and it is okay to hate), to realize that I deserved way better because I am better. This song is for everybody who gets that because we’ve all been there. Loyalty is the currency of our emotions, don’t let yourself get short-changed.” – DYLI explained

‘LOE’ tells a heartfelt tale about a disgruntled young woman who doesn’t have any more respect for her former significant other. Apparently, all she wanted from him was loyalty, honor, and respect. Unfortunately, none of that matters anymore because he’s with a new chick. Therefore, she hurls a few choice words at him: “I hope it’s somewhere in hell that you’re living. I hope that you get your side b*tch knocked up and she’s choosing to keep it. I hope you’re sick to your stomach that I’m doing better than you.”

‘LOE’ contains a problematic relationship-based narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Tahira, Gen Bello, and Naomi Cheyanne. The mellow, laidback tune possesses melodic instrumentation bursting with urban-trap and contemporary R&B elements. Furthermore, “LOE” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from DYLI in the near future as she continues to release new music.

“Loyalty is the currency of our emotions, don’t let yourself get short-changed.”
