Pushing the January blues aside, “Play with Me” is introduced with an infectious hook courtesy of Melladaze before Tays swiftly cuts through with a slick verse and bars. Centered around the back and forth between a potential couple, both Melladaze and Tays offer two sides to the story. In between the mind games and obvious interest in one another, both sides question each other’s behavior and antics while teasing what could potentially be.
‘Play With Me’ sets the tone for his forthcoming EP, set to be released at the end of April 2023. Plus, the song follows DJ WIN’s previous release single, “Genius,” alongside fellow Manchester native, July 7.
