Denzil Porter is a rapper out of the Bronx, New York. Not too long ago, he released a video of him performing his “Time Soon Come” single at Sofar NYC.
Denzil Porter – “Time Soon Come”
“We on the road to success, and we trying to see how far it will go. Regardless of no’s, stops, dead ends, and detours. I need this fast break, why you think I’m playing D for? Can’t spend my life up on this corner, gotta see more. So I’m in the cut, working ‘til my music bump like a keloid.” – lyrics
Sofar NYC puts on more than 50 shows every month in New York City. On May 24, 2018, they captured Porter’s intimate performance in front of an international audience of music lovers. Porter, seated on a stool with his hat twisted backward, casually raps while a nearby musician, @seantaylor1987, plays the trumpet.

“I LOVE performing at SOFAR events. From the intimacy to the appreciation of the audience is incredible. The attention that’s needed to hear and understand every word, every punchline, all the wordplay of my craft is truly a blessing and a commendable experience.” – Denzil Porter
