Danelle Sandoval (@danellesandoval_) is a multi-platinum, independent artist based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, she released a lovely performance video for her “Cold” single. This is the first video that Danelle co-directed, co-produced, styled, and art-directed alongside Stayneutral.
Danelle Sandoval – “Cold (Live)” music video
Danelle Sandoval wanted the video to embody the song visually with dried flowers and cool tones but also include the contrast of warm pink hues. The song comes from a tender place of heartbreak, so the floral arrangements represent the loss of emotions and coldness one experiences after a relationship ends. However, when looking at it retrospectively, the whole experience can still be beautiful. Sandoval also wanted to include VHS clips to bring out the feeling of familiarity, nostalgia, and reflection on old memories.
‘Cold (Live)’ also contains soft vocals sung over saturated drums, groovy bass, sparkling keys, and shimmering guitar melodies. Fans of sad and chill music will definitely appreciate this song.
“Tuesday” (feat. Danelle Sandoval) Original Cover
A few years back, Danelle Sandoval posted a YouTube cover of “Tuesday” by ILoveMakonnen featuring Drake, titled, “Tuesday (feat. Danelle Sandoval).” Since then, Danelle has been focused on releasing original music, including her EP, “For Love,” which was inspired by time spent in Toronto, Canada.
Danelle Sandoval – “Go” music video
“It’s been a while, but I’m so excited to share this video with all of you. I held on to this song for three years and I didn’t know the right time to release it – or if I would ever have the courage to release it. ‘Go’ started out as a love song. But, it became more than that. It became my message, my way of reclaiming my sexual identity, my way of speaking up against the rise of violence toward my community, and my way of empowering women who look like me and women in general. Also, it became my way to heal, process, reflect, and get back to my art.” – Danelle Sandoval explained
‘Go’ finds Danelle Sandoval singing about acceptance, empowerment, and confidence in her own skin as an Asian-American woman. The song begins with powerful affirmations that reinforce self-love and truth.
