“There’s a hole in that wall, been months since you put it there. But I can still recall we were fighting, screaming, yelling. You were telling me I was wrong, started pushing, you were crossing lines, just can’t be undone. You can give your reasons and say how you feel, but that ain’t my problem now. You can speak your mind but it won’t change mine. Since you gave it all away, maybe you should save your sorrys.” – lyrics
‘Save Your Sorrys’ contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraces, and Justin Bieber fans. The emotional tune possesses guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with a contemporary Country vibration. Furthermore, “Save Your Sorrys” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from Ciara Rae in the near future.
“I finally went a day without you running through my mind. But you just had to hit me up when I was going fine.”
“My co-writer and I, Jared Minnix, wrote this the first time we ever co-wrote together. At the time, we were both going through points in relationships that were toxic. Not sure why, we barely knew each other. But we both decided to open up and write about it that day. Once March 2020 hit, I was stuck in the house not knowing where my next paycheck was from, learning how to apply for unemployment. It was then I started listening to old work tapes. That’s how I came across this.
I couldn’t believe how much emotion was in a song we wrote when we first had met. We produced it and I recorded a guide vocal on a particularly low day for me. The song meant so much. The feeling came across so well that we barely touched the first take vocal off an old drum mic. It was so raw and perfect for the story we told. So here it is, ‘Save Your Sorrys.’” – Ciara Rae explained
