Chloe Lilac – “Manic Pixie Dream” EP
“This EP is so special to me. It’s about being a young woman, coming of age in 2019 in New York City. My hope is that these songs can make a connection for anyone hearing them, and can help them get through it all and feel something. These songs are deeply personal to me, and I’ve worked on them for almost 3 years now. I’m really excited to finally be putting them out today, especially on International Women’s Day!” – Chloe Lilac
“Manic Pixie Dream” serves as a clear indication that Chloe Lilac’s music is here to stay.
The 7-track project contains relatable storylines, ear-welcoming vocals, and lush instrumentations flavored with indie-pop and alternative elements.
Not too long ago, the bubbly young songstress released a music video for her “Manic Pixie Dream” single.
Chloe Lilac – “Manic Pixie Dream” lyric video
“You’re so interesting. It’s like you live inside my head. Lost inside your madness. Baby, smoke your cigarettes. I don’t wanna lead you on. Sick for you and it’s so wrong. Been wanting you for so long.” – lyrics
Chloe Lilac spent her early years traversing the F & G subway lines. Her teenaged years found her sneaking out to perform on the streets of NYC.
In 2017, she self-released a string of singles as an introduction to her artistry. Her debut song, “Reckless”, broke into the Top 5 on the U.S. Spotify Viral Chart.
Since then, her music has amassed over 4M streams online via Spotify. Check out her music video for her mesmerizing “Summer” single.
Chloe Lilac – “Summer” (Official Video)
“This song is about how amazing summer 2018 was for me. For some background, I’ve never really been able to connect with or find people I really vibed with my own age. That all changed for me in the summer of 2018. I met a bunch of incredible, talented, interesting kids my age for the first time, and lost count of how many unforgettable nights I had. For the first time, I really felt like a kid. I went into the studio with the sole intention of trying to capture what it feels like to be a kid in Brooklyn in the summertime.” — Chloe Lilac
Following a slew of fall dates with Rejjie Snow, and supporting both Charlotte Lawrence and Sasha Sloan, Lilac most recently headlined Neon Gold’s renowned ‘Popshop’ showcase in January 2019.
