“I don’t give a damn about what they’re saying here. I don’t give a damn about fitting in this room. Who give a f*** about if they’re watching me. Imma do it how I want and do it how I choose. This taking up way too long, wasting precious time pleasing everyone. Feel frustrated, no one said that you could take it on.” – lyrics
‘On Me’ tells a cool tale about a guy who desires to dance with a phenomenal-looking young woman. His goal is to grab a hold of her, no matter the consequence. With confidence, he tells her, “Dance on me like nothing. Go until the morning.”
‘On Me’ contains a flirtatious storyline, tuneful melodies, and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Drake, Justin Bieber, and ASTN. The high-energy, club-friendly tune possesses rhythmic-drum-laden instrumentation infused with reggaeton, dance-pop, and tropical afrobeats elements. Furthermore, “On Me” serves as a savory taste of what listeners can expect to hear from Cesar Santalo in the near future as he continues to release new music.
“I’m working on myself only, my one and only.”
“‘On Me’ is inspired by my hometown of Miami and the electric club scene that surrounds it. Growing up as a Hispanic, I was exposed to the infectious beats and rhythms of reggaeton from a young age, and I wanted to incorporate that into a modern and fresh sound. The song features upbeat tempos, catchy hooks, and lyrics that reflect the multicultural melting pot of Miami. I worked closely with producers and musicians to blend dance-pop elements with the rhythmic sensibilities of reggaeton, resulting in a unique and captivating sound that will have listeners moving and grooving. With ‘On Me,’ I hope to pay homage to my roots while also introducing a new generation of listeners to the infectious energy of Miami’s club scene. I believe that the track has the potential to be a breakout hit on Spotify and beyond, and I am excited to share it with the world.” – Cesar Santalo explained
Cesar Santalo attributes his passion for the arts to the culmination of what his city represents. Miami thrives on diversity, a true cultural epicenter where the city’s lifeblood is deeply rooted in its unique visual art, music, and lifestyle. Exposed to the visual arts by his father at a young age, Cesar first discovered his love for the arts and freedom of expression through drawing and painting. His interest in pursuing music didn’t manifest until he was 18.
Cesar Santalo
The humble beginnings of Cesar Santalo began when he booked his first studio session. He walked into the studio with no preparation, beat, or lyrics; however, the lack of preparation would be no match for his artistic vision which was more apparent than ever before.
Tapping into the influences from his youth, combined with his innate talent and musical abilities, Cesar channeled this potent creative energy to create his first song ever. The studio became Cesar’s new home. Spending countless hours and sleepless nights, his first project, “Things Happen,” is a seven-track contemporary EP released in 2017 – an impressive project for any artist, especially considering he had only started making music a year prior. Unsigned and with no strategic promo whatsoever, Cesar would go on to release a slew of singles including 3AM, Moving On, and Do You Try that would go on to garner millions of streams across all platforms.
