Alexander Stewart – “how dare you” (Music Video)
“How Dare You” finds Alexander Stewart singing about regretting being in a toxic relationship with someone he labels his worst mistake. He takes responsibility for his actions and realizes he made a mistake by getting involved with someone who would ultimately cause him pain. Expressing anger and disappointment, Alexander sings passionately, “How dare you f*** up my life, all of my nights. I was just fine, but that was before I met you.” He reflects on the impact the relationship had on his well-being and how it turned his life upside down.
“How Dare You” also captures the raw emotions of betrayal, self-blame, and the pain of wasted time. The desire for revenge is present, including the thought of wishing the very worst on the person who caused you so much pain. However, Alexander acknowledges that words cannot fully capture the depth of his pain, as he sings, “I’d tell you how bad this hurts.”
In summary, “How Dare You” is a powerful song that delves into the complexities of heartbreak and self-blame. It tells a story of personal struggle, emotional turmoil, and the ultimate betrayal. Through its poignant lyrics, it evokes a range of emotions that listeners will grow accustomed to while vibing to “bleeding heart.”
Alexander Stewart – “bleeding heart” album
“This album is a combination of the last 3 years of my life, and making it was truly the most beautiful, exciting, painful, trying, insane thing I’ve ever done. I’m so excited for you to hear it and for these songs to help guide and lift you in whatever stage of the journey you are on! I can’t WAIT to be screaming these with you on tour.” – Alexander Stewart explained
“bleeding heart” features Alexander’s massive hits “blame’s on me” and “i wish you cheated,” the latter of which launched with a viral TikTok campaign that saw over 45 million views and led to Alexander’s late-night TV debut performance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Following his performance, the single became a Top 20 radio hit and broke into Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in Canada. In addition, the album includes “if you only knew,” which Alexander debuted an emotional performance of on Late Night With Seth Meyers last December and was also named one of Rolling Stone’s “Songs You Need To Know.”
Earlier this week, Alexander kicked off The Bleeding Hearts tour, which spans 31 dates across North America, the UK, and Europe. Previously, Alexander has toured with artists including Charlie Puth, Benson Boone, and Eric Nam, as well as for his international headlining Blame’s On Me tour, where he performed in front of his rapidly growing fan base that has expanded to over 500 million global streams, 300 million views on YouTube and 130 million likes on TikTok.
