Adi Oasis (formally known as Adeline) is a French-Caribbean singer-songwriter, bassist, and producer based in New York City. Not too long ago, she released an appealing music video for her “Naked” single featuring Leven Kali, a singer-songwriter from the Netherlands. The video was directed by Derek Milton (Beyoncé).

“You and me now, maybe we should head out to the beach now. Got some sand up on your feet now, tell me about your world and what your dream bout. Cause ooh that’s that look in your eyes, just how I like. Sun setting down let’s go inside, dancing in the moonlight, baby. It’s just you and I, ain’t no reason to be shy. And that fit you got on going crazy. But if I’m being honest, I wanna see you naked. I wanna meet the real you, tell me how you feel boo.” – lyrics
‘Naked’ is about love, desire, and being vulnerable or naked with your significant other. The intimate tune is featured on Adi Oasis’ new album, entitled, “Lotus Glow,” available on March 3rd, 2023, via Unity Group. The project is the artist’s first album as Adi Oasis and her first recording ever to be released on vinyl.
Adi Oasis – “Lotus Glow” album
“‘Lotus Glow’ represents my story. It’s the first body of work I’ve released since becoming Adi Oasis, and in a way, it feels like my first album ever. I went through a lot of growth and changes musically and personally, and I feel like I have reached a point of arrival. I am now the artist I’ve always wanted to be, creating the music I’ve always dreamed to make. I still have so much to learn, of course, but I am finally fully owning every angle of my artistry, and I wanted to share my story. Thematically, my album is fearless, yet vulnerable, and also more political, because I’m a Black female immigrant, and these are my truths.” – Adi Oasis explained
The album title, “Lotus Glow,” is an extension of that journey, as well as a manifestation of Adi Oasis’ future dreams. “Out of the mud grows the lotus,” Adi explains, referring to the many struggles she has overcome in her life, from growing up in the Parisian projects to being a Black woman in America. “‘Lotus Glow’ represents the flower I’ve blossomed into, the artist I’ve worked on becoming all my life. The glow is where I am going next. It’s my destiny.”
‘Lotus Glow’ features an eclectic range of guests, including KIRBY (who has penned tracks for Rihanna and Ariana Grande), recent Beyoncé collaborator Leven Kali, R&B poet and musical powerhouse Jamila Woods, and UK neo-soul artist Aaron Taylor.
On “Lotus Glow” Adi Oasis combines her masterful production, soaring vocal chops, and spectacular bass prowess to create her most political, personal, and striking body of work to date. The album also features the standout, “Multiply,” and songs that pay homage to her French grandmother and her father’s native island of Martinique, as well as addressing issues of racism, gun violence, and more.
