Abraham Tilbury is an Australian singer-songwriter/producer. Not too long ago, he released “Ocean”, a watery slow grinder featuring Melbourne rapper Diemne.

“The song came from a late-night writing session one weekend with the aim of writing a few songs for Konnar’s project ‘Tides’. Guess it didn’t go quite as planned… Diemne, Jacob, and myself had written a few songs together in the past, and this session ended up being one of those moments where our different talents just seemed to work together perfectly well together in this kind of seamless integration.” – Tilbury

The electro-R&B-rap song was birthed out of a songwriting session between Tilbury, Diemne, Konnar Gerandonis, and Jacob de Weger. At the time, the four friends didn’t know they were working on Tilbury’s next single for Mammal Sounds Records.

“Ocean” is a mixture of watery guitars, a splash of percussion, and a doubling vocal performance from Tilbury and Diemne. Also, the song, perfumed with a hip-hop flavor, vibrates with a magnetic deep-sea energy.
