Atlanta’s R&B singer ABRA releases a music-video for ‘Crybaby’, a heart-pounding song off her ‘Princess’ EP. In ‘Crybaby’ ABRA touches on guys who call their female counterparts crybabies, but these guys are the ones responsible for making their babies cry.
“An exciting outing from a new voice in Atlanta, ‘Princess‘ is a stripped-down, low-key take on electro R&B. ABRA is the only woman and singer in the Awful Records crew, but she doesn’t overcompensate. Her smooth vocals, which melt over a wide range of imaginative beats, are captivating on their own.” – iTunes Review
“ABRA is only getting started. This EP has it all. It isn’t missing a thing. Production is amazing. Her vocals over the mesmerizing beat is everything and more. 10/10 would recommend.” – Customer Review.
FUN FACT: The “darkwave duchess” of Awful Records, an otherwise rap crew from Atlanta, ABRA is a singer and songwriter who makes shadowy, mostly slow R&B that deviates from the slicker sounds of the genre’s commercial artists. Born in New York and raised in London, she moved near Atlanta, Georgia when she was eight and felt like a misfit — a situation that inspired her to learn to play guitar and write.
